Identification of substrates, products and suitability criteria for conservation treatment

In this WP, starting points for the work done in the following WPs will be created, defining the typologies of the main materials considered, i.e. stone, wood and glass substrates to be used as representative substitutes of weathered historic substrates, and the conservation products to be used in comparison to the developed ones. The fundamental parameters for laboratory tests and field-exposure measurements will be also identified to assess compatibility and performance of innovative conservation products.

The objectives of WP1 are:
- identification of representative substrates to be treated
- definition of compatibility and performance criteria for assessment of the innovative conservation product
- identification and prioritisation of the main environmental parameters for the artificial weathering in function of the evaluation of the present and future trend of pollution concentration and climate
