Synthesis of new metal-alkoxides as precursor of nano-structured conservation materials

Aim of the workpackage is:
1. to synthesize one product in the "innovative class" of alkaline earth metal alkoxides, to be employed in solutions and sols, which evolve to nano-structured consolidants with biocide properties for stone and wood substrates;
2. to develop the pilot product for glass consolidation from Aluminium alkoxide complex synthesised in EU project CONSTGLASS.

The objectives of WP2 are:
- Identification of synthetic strategies of metal-alkoxides suitable for stone conservation
- Identification of synthetic strategies of metal-alkoxides suitable for wood conservation
- Identification of synthetic strategies of metal-alkoxides suitable for glass conservation
- Preparation of suitable metal-alkoxides solution and sols
